Marbella East

A new life to be savoured in magical Marbella East

Long associated with sun, sea and celebrity, Marbella is a magnet for pleasure-seekers and a wonderful place in which to put down roots. There’s a noticeable buzz about the place, and it’s one that brings with it a feel-good factor that’s apparent from first thing in the morning to last thing at night.

The city is located roughly halfway between Malaga and Gibraltar, with Estepona to the west and Fuengirola to the east. It’s a lively city, made even livelier during the summer months when thousands of holiday-makers converge from all over the world. For many of them, Marbella is Party Central.

Marbella East is home to a number of attractive districts, including Las Chapas. This is a particularly desirable part of town, a place where the beaches are golden, the atmosphere is laid-back and where it seems everybody eats al fresco. There’s also an elegant marina in Cabopina that’s always worthy of a visit.

The property scene in the east of Marbella is an interesting one. You’ll find some wonderful apartments close to the waterfront here, as well as some much sought-after villas and townhouses away from the beach. Be sure to have a chat with Simply Costa Developments about current availability.

Teeing off in style in Marbella East

If you’re a golfer, you’re going to fall in love with Marbella East and the surrounding area. There are a number of upscale venues to be found nearby, including Marbella Golf & Country Club, Rio Real Golf & Hotel and Santa Clara Golf, all of which are in or near the eastern side of the city. For many ex-pats and locals alike, playing golf is part of the attraction of living here.

Shopping for bargains is always a pleasure in this part of the world, and there are several excellent malls and shopping centres to be enjoyed. Needless to say, you can also savour some retail therapy in the more traditional independent stores here. Be prepared to wander the narrow back streets at times to find them, and bear in mind that many of them will close in the afternoon for siesta, but will then remain open late into the night.

One of the many plus points about life in Marbella East is that you’re close to everything this wonderful city has to offer but you’re still a little more separated from it. Neighbourhoods such as Torre Real, Los Monteros and El Rosario are all worth investigating, so be prepared to do a little investigating before settling in to your new life.
